Pastor Kyle Cody, born and raised in Hayesville, North Carolina, has been involved in ministry since he answered the call to preach the Gospel at the age of fifteen.  Raised in a strong Christian home, his ministry is deeply rooted in love for his community. Pastor Kyle has embraced the role of being a bi-vocational leader, while balancing his pastoral duties with other professional commitments within the community, also serving in the medical field for the past twenty years.

Through his devoted pastoral and medical service, Pastor Kyle cultivates a profound relationship with both his congregation and the broader Hayesville community. His dual roles afford him a unique perspective, allowing him to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of those he serves. This holistic approach reinforces and strengthens the bonds within this small community.

He finds immense rewards in witnessing the spiritual growth and personal development of his congregation and community.  Each day brings new opportunities to connect with individuals, offer guidance, and witness their personal and spiritual development.  The joy of pastoring in a small community is the intimacy of such settings.  The sense of knowing each member of the congregation personally, witnessing their growth in faith, and being a part of their life’s milestones brings immense joy and fulfillment in the ministry.

Kyle has been married to his wife Sally Mashburn Cody for the past eighteen (18) + years and they have three children: Jacob, Levi and Malachi.

Sally is a remarkable partner in their ministry, contributing her talents and compassion to community service, particularly through her involvement in medical missions in Honduras and serving the community locally as a healthcare provider. Together, they weave a tapestry of support and faith, uniting their passions and strengths to uplift and serve those around them.

Their shared commitment to service extends beyond their personal and professional lives, embodying the principles of their faith in every aspect of their daily interactions. Their dedication to nurturing both the spiritual and physical well-being of those around them creates a foundation of trust and compassion, fostering a sense of unity and purpose within Mountain Grace Baptist Church.
